Chagrin Valley Today September 3, 2020 – Officials from Aurora and Bainbridge Township are starting to take strides toward an agreement for the rest of the Geauga Lake property. Bainbridge Township Trustees have set a date for Sept 28 at 7:30pm for a public hearing on a joint economic development district (JEDD) for the former Geauga Lake property.

Chagrin Valley Times, July 16/17, 2020 – After months of meetings with the City of Aurora about a joint economic development district, known as a JEDD, the township trustees said they are optimistic about potential development opportunities on the Geauga Lake property. The trustees announced that the final paperwork for the JEDD has been submitted to Aurora.
Industrial Commercial Properties, LLC of Solon was under contract to purchase 276 acres of the property from Cedar Fairs and submitted variance requests to allow heavy retail and multi-family dwelling apartments with first floor residential use.

Chagrin Valley Today, January 30, 2020 – The Bainbridge Township Board of Zoning Appeals on January 16 unanimously denied variance requests needed by Industrial Commercial Properties LLC of Solon to move forward with the redevelopment of property previously home to Geauga Lake amusement park.

Chagrin Valley Today, Aug 15, 2019 – Aurora council will examine a proposal by Pulte Homes for home, commercial and office development on the former Geauga Lake land. The city’s Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the conceptual plan on August 7.

Chagrin Valley Today, July 4 2019 – Pulte officials met with Aurora City officials to discuss further details of the their proposed mixed-use development on the former Sea World site adjacent to the Geauga Lake Amusement park and next to the River’s Edge Community. Pulte said the plans include about 112 acres of parkland surrounding the homes and commercial development as well as medical and professional offices off Squire Road.

Chagrin Valley Tomes, May 16, 2019 – A development of 321 houses, commercial space and offices is being proposed for the former Sea World of Ohio parking lot in the city of Aurora. Pulte Homes is proposing the plan on the land owned by Cedar Fair which also owns the adjoining former Geauga Lake and Wild Water Kingdom parks in Bainbridge.
